Brilliant Season Opener

Brilliant Season Opener

After the brilliant season opener in Berlin, the NIGHT of the JUMPs entourage is now heading for the Krakow Arena in Poland for the second world championship weekend of the year. Poland long ago established itself as a regular host to the FIM Freestyle MX World Championship, and Krakow has now joined the tour schedule as an additional venue in the country for the 2015 campaign.

The freestyle motocross premiere in the city on the Vistula promises to be an explosive mix of high-performance sport and spectacular showmanship. Five world champions have made it known that they will be competing at Krakow. Most prominent among them is reigning champion Maikel Melero who won both the opening Grands Prix in Berlin with his new Melero Roll, thereby starting the new season as he finished the old – on top of the table. The recent birth of Melero junior seems to have given him an extra boost of motivation.

But Melero will be only too well aware of the 2013 world champion David Rinaldo breathing down his neck. The diminutive Frenchman has introduced a new trick into his world championship routine, namely the Rock Solid Flip, and must surely fancy his chances of dislodging Melero from his perch.
